High Tech AC Indexing System Increases Speed In New MHM Synchroprint X-Treme

December 12, 2012

MHM Synchroprint X-Treme

MHM has incorporated the latest in technology and engineering design to build a new high-speed, high-volume automatic printing press that will allow print shops to make more money with less frustration and hassle.

The new Sychroprint X-Treme is faster than any existing MHM press due to an innovative new AC indexing system combined with a  a high-power AC electric print head.

In addition to faster print speeds, MHM has continued to build on its reputation for offering presses with the fastest set-up times. A MHM pinlock preregistration screen system allows for fast loading of new screens with minimal time spent on adjustments. It also has individual off contact front and rear adjustments, which are critical when printing high density or other specialty inks.

Other new features include separate squeegee and flood blade press regulators. Screen holders are flush with every screen. There’s no U-clamps, which means the off contact adjustment can be controlled from a 0 position.

Operators will find running the X-Type intuitive and simple with a short learning curve due to its easy-to-see 15-inch touch screen monitor with an inlet mode, outlet mode, sample mode and waterbase/plastisol mode, which help reduce set-up times. It all runs on Linux-based software, well known for its dependability and performance.

The X-Type also has many of the features offered on all MHM presses that have contributed to the company’s reputation for top-quality performance. These include a skip pallet function, adjustable squeegee/flood stroke adjustment, repeatable squeegee angle adjustment, repeatable flood blade angle adjustment, and easy-to-use microregistration screen adjustment. All of these contribute to the machine’s ability to do super fast setups, maximizing productivity.

The X-Treme has a 20-inch by 28-inch print area and comes in two models: 14 station and 16 station in a variety of color combinations.

New Temperature Heat Sensors Take the Guesswork Out of Flashing

November 26, 2012

Take the guesswork out of setting your flash cure unit at the perfect dwell time with a new temperature sensor option offered by Hirsch International for its line of quartz flash cure units.

Without a sensor, the operator sets the dwell time using an adjustable timer. This requires using a trial-and-error method often resulting in either not enough time to gel the ink surface or too much time, which can scorch the shirt, waste energy, and create unwanted heat buildup.

The sensor reads the temperature of the ink surface and once the desired temperature is reached, the flash automatically turns off.

Hirsch quartz flash cure units are designed to work with MHM equipment because they are synched to the main control panel and share a data interface. However, any Hirsch flash can be modified to work on other press models. Units are available in three cure area sizes: 18” x 24”, 20” x 28” & 28” x 40”.

Tajima Releases New Lochrose Rhinestone Attaching Device

September 26, 2012

Tajima recently released a new machine attachment that allows an embroiderer to “sew” Swarovski crystals onto fabric. Specially made crystals feature a hole that allows a needle to go through to attach the crystal to the material. A clear thread is used to create a cross stitch, which holds the stone firmly in place.
Crystals are stored in a tube as part of the attachment, which releases one crystal at a time to be sewn. One size of crystal is available at this time in 15 popular colors. The device attaches to needle 15. New Eco-Tex Dryers Reduce Costs, Carbon Footprint

September 5, 2012

What better combination could anyone ask for than a dryer that saves energy and reduces its carbon footprint? Adelco has accomplished just that with its new Eco-Tex series of high production conveyor dryers.

Using the latest in technology, Adelco, which is distributed exclusively by Hirsch in the United States, has designed a dryer that reduces energy consumption, which in turn, lowers its cost of operation.

Another economical feature is the modular design, which allows a printer to choose the exact dryer length for his needs with the option of expanding at a later date. Buyers also can choose from five dryer belt widths.

An optional gas flow indicator allows energy-conscious shop owners to track usage and running costs. This dryer also has triple insulation with an air curtain, which keeps the exterior cool and avoids loss of heat. Because the oven has air intake valves on both sides, it offers superior heat distribution, which results in more evenly cured garments.

An integral exhaust is connected on top of the dryer with an easily adjustable exhaust outlet valve. The lint filter is removable from either side, and no replacement filter is required, another cost-saving feature. The end panels are removable making them easy to clean.

A touch-screen control panel keeps the operator up to date on what’s going on with the dryer and making it easy to do adjustments as needed depending on the job. To adjust the belt speed, simply enter the time required in minutes and seconds, and it changes automatically. An alarm history shows if there have been any safety or temperature fluctuation alarms with a date and time record, and there’s an onscreen flame signal. The temperature control is digital.
